I know I am in the minority here, but I don't see what all the fuss is about with Twitter. Facebook is addicting and social enough, do we really need to know what people are doing all day long? I don't get it.
Ok, so now that I got that out of the way, I have something to confess.
Ready?
I can't figure Twitter out. Not online and not on my iPhone.
So instead of wondering if I'm too old, dumb or girly, I'm going to just say Twitter is overreated.
There. Now I don't need an excuse.
I’m a fun-loving foster and adoptive mom juggling a teenager, a tween, and a toddler, all while navigating the wild world of homeschooling. I recently took the plunge and moved to a new state without ever setting foot there—talk about an adventure! This is my real-life story, filled with chaos and joy. My mission? To swap out traditional products and pharmaceuticals for healthier, natural options for my family. Oh, and I really miss writing, so I'm excited to weave that back into my life!

We Did Something Crazy
A little over three weeks ago, we packed up a moving truck and closed the door to our New York house for the last time. We spent the night ...

I used to be so afraid of writing something horrible, that I wouldn't write anything at all. I'd have a half-hour or so to myself ...

The absolute worst part about being a writer for me is grammar and punctuation. With every post I put up, every email I send and every story...

I went to #30 school for first grade. Every morning I walked by myself down Otis Street to the school. There were always a bunch of kids out...

I use twitter, but honestly, I'm not too sure what it's all about either. I agree. It is overreated!!! :)
I agree too. I hear about it all day long from people on TV and the radio and I honestly don't understand why I would need to get alerts on my cell phone all day long. I guess I don't need to be "that" in touch. Facebook is enough for me to see friends and family.
That's how I feel. It seems narcissistic (sorry to you Twitterers) to keep posting what you're doing or thinking constantly. Who knows, maybe if I could figure it out I'd like it. But I doubt it.
I could never figure it out either, so I am just staying with FB for now. LOVE reading your blog Lisa :-) ~ Kelly
Thanks, Kelly! I just saw you used to keep a blog (I'm "following" you), but haven't in a long while. You should do it again. You are a beautiful writer, and always have such inspiring things to say!
A lot of people seem to write about wondering what the fuss is with twitter.
I'm starting to get more interested in finding out what the fuss is with getting fussed about why there is a fuss with twitter, fuss-wise.
Let me know if you figure it out:)
I will. Right now I'm just asking around, asking whether I should be fussed as to whether I should be fussed over why people are fussed about Twitter, unfortunately nobody seems to be fussed about my predicament.
I must tweet about this.
I agree Twitter is way overrated! The social networking is starting to border on "Big Brother"!
It took me a long time to use it more regularly, but lately I've noticed that by following my twitter stream, I don't have to check the news online. The people I follow talk about any breaking news (especially CNN's Breaking News) so it keeps me a little more focused.
Or so I tell myself.
I don't have the energy to work up a huge following or do all the friday follow (#ff) stuff.
Great point, Melanie!
Haha. I feel the same way.
At first, I thought twitter was cool because it gave a quick stream of what was going on in my world. However, people started posting when they were going to the bathroom and stuff and it got to the point that I knew a little more about my world than I really cared to. I'll stick with facebook and msnbc :)

I must confess I agree with you. Maybe if all of us Twitter Rejects followed each other, we might figure out what it's all about!
JenE, Maybe we should start our own type of Twitter:)
I KNOW! I have signed up for it, and made an honest attempt. But I REALLY don't get it. There are so many symbols and, what, like ten conversations going on at once? It's very strange...but it does make me feel old.
I agree! I've never tried it, but Facebook is enough of a distraction for me. I'm glad I'm not the only one!
